Isaac (better known as Ike) and Luan Thiessen, along with their three children, were missionaries in Mexico for 26 years.  They did camp ministry, worked with Youth, Ike taught in a Bible Institute and they  were church planters along with a myriad of other things.  Everything they did was with the goal in mind, of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with those they came in contact with. 

Almost 6 years ago they  returned  Stateside to do Member Care for Missionary Gospel Fellowship.  Their hearts were so into the work in Mexico,  that it was a very gut-wrenching decision to make.  Because of a chemical exposure caused by tenting their home for termites, Ike has some serious health issues, so it seemed a God appointed time for them to come back to the States. 

As a Missionary Care Director they got to travel all over North America, visiting each missionary in their place of ministry.  What a joy!  They got to help them with projects, preach, do ladies Bible  studies, cook, listen to the missionaries, pray together….  They spent a good part of each year on the road and when they were not traveling they kept up by phone, email, letters, Facebook, etc.

After 5 1/2 years as Missionary care directors they stepped down.  Ike’s deteriorating vision has limited his driving which in turn limited their ability to do as much traveling as they were.  So they are now doing only the care of the Spanish speaking missionaries.  They are now doing Associate Missionary Care.

God arranged things so perfectly for them; to be able to continue part time member care for MGF as well as do member care and missionary care for Cornerstone Church of Hemet.  So with much gratitude to God and to Cornerstone and MGF, they are once again amazed at the way the Lord works all the details out.  They feel so honored and blessed.

Contributions are solicited with the understanding that Missionary Gospel Fellowship (MGF) has complete discretion and control over the use of all donated funds. MGF will attempt to honor gifts preferenced to support particular workers, but the final decision on the use of all funds rests with the organization.
