Founded in 1979, ECFA provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, fund-raising and board governance. Collectively, these organizations represent more than $15 billion in annual revenue.
ECFA’s Standards of Responsible Stewardship focus on board governance, financial transparency, integrity in fund-raising, and proper use of charity resources.
Please contact the ECFA for more information.
How much of my donation goes to the missionary or project?
MGF missionaries approved a 10% deduction from missionary support contributions to finance the general fund. This pays part of the costs of providing services to the missionary and supporting partners. These include receiving and managing gifts for their support, helping with income tax filings, recruiting and shepherding missionaries, compliance with governmental regulations and the list goes on. Due to a special gift to MGF, the 10% administrative deduction has been waived for the past few years allowing 100% of donation to go directly to the missionary. This is expected to continue for some time, at the discretion of the MGF Board and the providence of God.
Does my donation go directly to the missionary?
Although MGF strives to use the money as to the preference indicated, Missionary Gospel Fellowship does have complete discretion and control over the use of all donated funds.
Are there service fees with my donation?
Donations made online through CTG are charged a processing fee. Continue to Give charges approximately 3% of your gift in service fees on all credit card processed gifts. This is deducted directly from the online donation. Donations not made through the online credit card processing are not charged a fee.
Is my credit card information secure?
Yes. MGF uses Continue to Give, a third-party, secure platform to process all online transactions and maintain credit records and information. MGF does not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties, nor do we maintain any credit card records. We distribute personally identifiable information about you within MGF only to the extent necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which you have provided the information.
How do I notify MGF of a change of address?
Please call the office at (209) 634-8575 or complete the contact form with your new information.
How does MGF acknowledge my gift?
MGF mails or emails a receipt to each donor for each gift. If you have not received acknowledgment of your donation, please contact the MGF office.
How can I keep a record of the amount I have contributed?
Your statement will include a line item for your monthly gift with a donation total and a year-to-date total. Online donations will receive an email donation form. If you would prefer this mailed, please complete the Mail Donation Form.
Will I receive a year end giving statement?
MGF will send a summary of the previous year’s donations to all donors by the end of January. This report will include everything necessary to qualify as a substantiation of your deductible contributions for Federal tax purposes.
